  • Ratchet wrench (Manual or powered)
  • Panel removal tool (Plastic preferred)
  • Side cutter
  • Zip Ties
  • Flash light or work light

Step 1

Remove the front grille:

  • Open the hood and secure with hood prop.
  • Remove the six plastic retainers from the top of the grille. We recommend a panel removal tool or small flat head screws driver to release the retainers.
  • Remove the grille by grabbing the bottom and pulling towards you to release the retaining clips.
  • Disconnect the wire connections to your factory turn signals by depressing the tabs.

Step 2

Installing the camera mount:

  • Place the front camera mount on the radiator support cross member.
    • Line up the mounting holes in the camera mount with the holes in the upper grille support with the camera facing forward.
    • Secure the mount with the provided hardware:
      • Place a split washer on each bolt.
      • Place a flat washer on each bolt.
      • Insert the bolt assembly through the front camera mount, thorough the upper grille support.
      • Place a second flat washer over the bolt and secure with the provided nut.
      • Leave the nut slightly loose for now so that you can align the camera in the grille opening.

Step 3

Routing and connecting the wiring harness:

  • Connect the RCA connections from the camera extension wire to the camera.
    • We recommend securing with tape.
  • Route the wires along the grille support towards the passenger side of the Jeep.
  • Continue running the wire backwards towards the firewall and through the firewall grommet into the cab of the Jeep.
  • Continue running the wires to the back of the radio.
  • Once you have verified that your wire has reached the radio, secure the harness with zip ties as needed.

Step 4

Connect the camera to your Sony bundle:

You will need to remove the head unit for this step.

  • Connect the camera wire RCA to the connection labeled "Camera In 1."
  • Connect the bullet connector for power and ground:
    • Connect the black wire to black wire from the radio bundle.
    • Connect the red wire to the red wire from the radio bundle.

Step 5

Test functionality:

  • Test functionality of the camera and make any adjustments to camera mount to optimize camera view.
  • The bracket can be bent slightly to adjust vertical field of view.
  • The bracket can be slide left & right to adjust horizontal field of view.
  • Once you are happy with the placement and fitment within the grille, fully tighten the mounting hardware.

Step 6

Re-install the front grille:

  • Place the grille back on the front and connect your factory turn signal harnesses.
  • Place the grille back into position and push the bottom in the secure the retainers.
  • Replace the six plastic retainers along the top of the grille.
  • Close and secure the hood.
